Nick

Nick has been sailing since he was a toddler and racing since he was eight. At the age of 26 he set off to sail around the world with his parents, and he has been living aboard and cruising ever since. During this time Nick has capsized two boats and sunk another. Some people just have to learn the hard way, don’t they?
Nick has been fixing engines since he was twelve and seems to like nothing better than to be covered in sump oil.
Mollymawk is a showcase of his mechanical genius. Brief details of the yacht’s ingenious drive system, cunning steering system, devious toilet and seacock system, and other idiosyncratic systems were given in a series of articles written by Jill Schinas and published in Practical Boat Owner. A full account is given in How NOT to Build a Boat, details of which will be available shortly.
Nick enjoys sailing, sleeping, drinking, fiddling with engines, and sleeping some more.
